Finding The Buried System

There is nothing more annoying than inheriting an irrigation system for which you have no idea where the parts are buried.

Lot Size Matters

Drawing a sketch of your yard is not only great planning for determining the irrigation materials, it's a map for future reference.

The Water Meter

The water meter line is the heart of an irrigation system.  Whether you tap into it or install a dedicated line, determine the pipe size first.

GPM & PSI

It is recommended that your water source can supply at minimum 50PSI, 6GPM or greater.

Pipe Size Matters

The pipe size for your irrigation distribution lines should be at least one to two sizes larger than the inlet of the sprinklers.

What Are Zones

A zone is referred to as a dedicated line. It has a certain amount of sprinklers that will supply a sufficient amount of water in a specific area of space.

Sprinkler Spacing

Most Rainbird sprinklers have a 25 degree trajectory upward spray, so they do not provide water coverage in their own immediate space.

WHAT IS DRIP IRRIGATION

Drip irrigation is the most uniformed application available. It's a low volume, low pressure watering system allowing water to drip slowly to the roots of plants, trees, and shrubs.
